Though there are by now many undergraduate text-books on this rapidly growing subjects available, the present one is distinguished by its sheer volume. This is reflected by a quite extensive and detailed review, which could almost serve as a brief introduction on its own.
The reviewer concludes:“The book covers in a splendid way the main notions of current cryptography form the point of view of information-theoretical security. This corresponds indeed to a modern cryptography approach. All the covered themes were known from last decade, but a textbook containing all of them in a readable fashion at the reach of undergraduate students was lacking. The current book covers this lack in a self-contained way.”
